Some exciting changes have come to the real estate industry this year. The
National Association of Realtors (NAR) has issued a policy called "Broker
Reciprocity", which states that "Multiple Listing Services (MLS's)... must
by January 1, 2002 enable MLS participants to display on participant's web
sites aggregated MLS active listing information...". Brokers who
participate in the program can display each other's active listings.
What does this mean to you, the home searcher?
Most national real estate web sites that display home listings contain
out-dated information. It's very difficult for them to keep updated
information because they are listing every property for sale in the entire
country. Participating in this program allows us to give you listing
information in "real time" to ensure data accuracy and, in turn, consumer
satisfaction.
We know that going through the registration process and remembering a
password can be an inconvenience, but it is a requirement of our MLS,
besides the benefits to you far outweigh the inconvenience. You now don't
have to sift through thousands of old, outdated listings to find that your
dream home has already been sold. With our database you can be assured you
are viewing the most accurate and up-to-date information available anywhere.
Happy Home Searching!
